Anyone know of place in Lake Mead good for shore fishing this time of year?
#1
Hello everyone I am new to this forum. I want to know if anyone can give me some information on what area at Lake Mead is good for fishing this time of year. I know the water is cold at this time of year and the strippers tend to swim to deeper water and without a boat it does make it difficult. Also would it be possible to catch any shad from shore? I know the Las Vegas Wash is abundant with shad but it is impossible to access to the area without a boat. Any advice or input given will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks all!!

Saw some guys at 33 hole (far left point) catching Shad Saturday. They were getting Stripers and Catfish fished off the bottom.

Thanks for the info! I caught this 11LB stripper between the government wash and the Las Vegas wash area on 1/20/2014 on anchovies. No more shad around or they must have went deep and hard to find.
