Ice fishing two ponds...a success!!! 1/13/14
#1
I met up with WH2 this morning at pineview. He had already been there an hour by the time I arrived midmorning and had iced several perch. I drilled a couple holes a short distance away and proceeded to get the light bites of perch. I used two different rods rigged with jigs and tipped with meal worms. I ended up icing 3-4 perch before leaving. I was fishing in 21 feet of water here.

My daughter really wanted to come with me this morning but wasn't able to so when I got home I took her to Bountiful pond where she was able to outfish her dad as usual. She iced a decent trout for the pond. She had a second hook up but was a bit shy and threw the jig back at her at the hole. We were set up in 10 feet of water here.

I'm glad you hear you were able to get out with your daughter later in the afternoon.
It was too bad the catching was slow at PV, I think I caught the tail end of the good fishing right after I got there. Still, slow catching was better than no catching.

That is so true. I think I need to invest in some new gear. I seem to have gotten some certain family members addicted to ice fishing i think.[Wink]
