How is the ice at Deer Creek?

Fished DC hard deck for the first time ever, today. 6 inches of clear ice around rainbow bay this morning. Hardly any snow, mostly, mostly slick ice. Still crampon or yaktrak worthy. Still some open water just around the point from the bay I was in. Bows were suspended, cruising from 5-15 feet under the ice. Fished 25- 45 FOW, fish seemed more active around noon when I left, and in the deeper water.

Anyone know how deep/ where I should check for Perch/walleye? or a bruiser brown? PM me if you dont want the world to know.

I was by the Island on Monday and caught one 11" perch at 47'. I had no other bites after that. I caught a 16" Bow n the same place before the perch. night crawler.
