hyrum or rockport info

Possibly heading up to hyrum or rock port on Monday. We have never been to hyrum and could use some tips. We have been to rockport. But not this year and could use some info. Also does any one know how thick hyrum and/or rockports ice is?

Any info would be very appreciated thanks.

When I went to Hyrum two weeks ago the ice was over 10" thick. Our best luck was between the swim beach and big toe in about 10 feet of water using powerbait on a bell sinker and 18" of leader. Drop the sinker all the way to the bottom and let the bait float up dead sticking with an occasional lift and snap for movement. Also green ice flies tipped with meal worms and about 12-14" below a flasher were working good about 1-2 feet off the bottom.
