Ice fished Sportsman's Park for the first time this year. Good ice, 16 to 18 inches. Slow. 3 perch, 11 to 12 inches. Had one good trout up to the hole befor he came undone. Lots of chubs. Should get better the if the ice holds for awhile.

Welcome to the site FRH. We have lots of fly fisher folks on BFT that you might know but few that go ice fishing in the Winter, good for you. Sounds like some nice perch, I didn't know AF had big perch like that but I have heard of the big trout. Here is a link to our Fly fishing boards:

I fished there last week for the first time ever , with no guidance. Edges good ice thick and so were the chubs... Thanks all we caught. One highlight is we got to see a coyote high tailing it across the ice.
