Anyone buy a new boat? I went, but didn't buy.

I went once a few years ago, hoping to find a good fishing kayak or boat. All I found were dealers trying to outdo each other for the biggest, loudest, fastest, most obnoxious ski boat possible.

Don't plan to ever go back.

Naw if I go I will get in trouble[Tongue]. Next time I attend I will be in the market for a new boat. Right now I can't afford what I want so I will wait.[cool]

I went and as usual - 90% of the boats were for wakeboarder crowd and all the boats must have been made of gold to justify the $$....

The fishing boats were also priced quite high and it made me appreciate the boat I have.

In case you didn't know all boats now have to have a catylitic converter as of 2010. EPA caused the price to go up to cover that environmental concern.

Here a link to that requirement: http://www.powerandmotoryacht.com/node/143614

I'll pass on the show next year - not worth seeing a price tag on a boat worth as much as I paid for my house.

I have to agree. I don't go anymore and haven't for years and years. Don't know why they don't have more fishing boats.
