If you are in Emmett, your best bet for lots of crappie will be Brownlee, or maybe Crane creek (not sure about Crane creek).

Big trout? Define big. Cascade would probably be your best shot at getting decent sized trout.

I live in the Emmett area as well. As stated above Brownlee is about the closest for crappie. Owyhee is close but you need a out of state license . In the years passed Crane Creek did have some nice crappie in it but as with a lot of the private owned reservoirs here the water gets drained for the crops.
