Deer creek???

Is the ice at deer creek any good once you get on it? I know you need a plank to get on it! How far is the open water til the ice? Thanks for your help in advance!

I saw a few on the ice by the island Sunday night. I wouldn't recommend it.

once you get out there reports are between 4 to 11 inches. You have to wade through the water to get out there. The ice conditions are getting worse each day so we recommend shore fishing in the open water.
