I like to check out the earth wind map. Handy to see how much wind we are getting and which direction it is coming from, but you are right, windy days are a pain when you want to be out fishing.

[mad] My fishing day was interupted by a 60 mile gust on Fremont yesterday. Came close to losing my ice house. Nothing like sitting there fishing and next chasing your ice house. Thank god my 4 wheeler caught it.[mad]

First good job getting your ice house...Wind Sucks! Second maybe your not in the mood for this comment yet, but I would have loved to seen a video of that! Sound like a memory of a lifetime! I had a pole break due to setting up in a bad wind Friday night..feel your pain!

I am surprised you were able to use your 4 wheeler . I thought the snow would be to deep ?

[mad] Was not so much snow it was 3 inchs of water underneath. Had all 4 chained.

I bet with all the wind we have had there is no ice on Ririe .

I flew over Ririe a few hours ago and " stick a fork in it, it is done."
Looked some rotten ice near the dam, the rest blue water.

Take your boat, fish from shore or wait until next winter.

As I said in my Clark Canyon post. I'm feeling a little bit wind burnt. I have repaired my ice tent twice this year due to wind rips. I too had to fix a broken pole. Wow this has been the year of wind or maybe I'm just getting wussy with age
