Saludos again from the Island of Enchantment.

The high pressure gradient has predominated our area keeping the high wind and wind built seas. Although the Eastern USA has experienced a historical intense winter, no cold front has hit our area. No cold fronts means warm waters, causing the mahi mahi bite of schoolies not abundant but the warm waters has kept the Billfish around. Most mahi mahi are caught feeding with boobies or in blind strikes. (their sizes bigger then the schoolies).

In the South west the report from Our friend Capt Mikey Amador from Parguera fishing Charters is the same Big Mahi Mahi Running with feeding birds and he released two nice blues in the 350# and 400# range.
The billfish in the north have been mostly whites and sails.

till next Bite
