Mantua
#1
Had a very enjoyable first trip out to Mantua today. It is still about half iced over but I put my kayak in on the little stream inlet that is on the south east side. Great day, caught a few small rainbows as well.

As well as what.......? Good on ya gettng right on the lake early, ane glad you had fun. What I mean is, did you only catch trout or did any panfish show up? Never hit Mantua this early, but it's one of my favorite spots.

suppose if it's still mostly ice - not much point in asking for a water temperature. Just chilling out, no doubt!

Brave soul. Wear a life jacket, bring a change of clothes, and don't lock yourself outside a running car naked to the world! (funny old ice-story, not mine, but I still laugh when I think of it!).

Nothing other than the trout came out to play. I forgot the depth finder so I don't know exactly how cold the water was. All of the fish I caught were near the edge of the ice, didn't get a single bite close to shore.
