Thanks Curt always good to know they're on the way upstream. How's the weather up that way (Challis) this year? We are a lot warmer and ahead of usual here. Appreciate the heads up since the website I usually watch isn't functioning its nice to get that report. Later J

I don' fish for Steelhead . I have friends that do and I know this is a big deal to them .

O ya it's a big deal when dead water blows out the steelhead start to move up river I haven't been for a few years I might make the trip up to challis this year I would like to get a update for that area if anyone knows it

There is not much information yet , but there will be when the fishing gets good . On the Idaho forum .

I went up with a guide and fished for Steelies in Oregon. Caught a nice short of 30 incher and 2 small Smolts. Surprising to me and my guide were the Seabound Cutthroat Trout. Caught 5 in the 2 days and found them clumped up in the "frog water" feeding. I could have done some serious damage if I took my fly rod but we through some really big tackle for Steelies.

The run isnt going very hard up here yet, but in the next week or two when the water stops rising form the rain it should be pure fire!

Can't wait to come back up here for the summer run.
