Hi there BFT'ers
Well we have just finished our summer season and rolling into fall. We had a pretty dry summer (which is usually our wetter season with cyclones etc hanging around). This actually had a pretty good impact on the fishing. Over the Xmas break I got away up to north QLD to the hotter climes and did some reef fishing. I have aslo been doing a fair bit of kayak fishing and landing plenty of flathead.
As we come into the cooler weather we will start to see snapper and mulloway being caught. When i get onto some I will post some pics. Until then here are some fish I have been getting onto lately
I hope to get back over that way in 2014 just dont have firm dates. If i do I will sing out to you lot and maybe catch up for a fish.
P.S - The big fish I am holding is a cod. My mate caught it in about 50 metres (150ft) of water. We tried to revivie it to let it go but it just wouldn't come good after about 40mins of swimming it beside the boat. We made good use of it though on the barbie!!
