Soldier Creek Ice Finale
#1
Hit Soldier Creek for our ice season finale and thought We should share. We hiked a couple miles from highway 40 to our honey hole with no motorized assistance and the rewards were plentiful. Fished in 20 feet of water, caught my first ever Kokanee through ice, plenty of slot cuts and 2 cuts over 22, a few were very close and multiple bows. Non stop action from 8 til 2. By far the most productive day I've had on ice. Green glo paddle bugs and chartreuse trout stingers w/ waxies were the ticket. I encourage those that enjoy some hard deck fishing get to the berry at least 1 more time. (all fish were released aside the koke)

Welcome to BFT and thanks for posting. You caught browns at Strawberry? All the years I have been fishing Strawberry never saw a brown. Any pictures of the brown.

I think you must be referring to another post. I can't see anywhere he said anything about catching browns.[Wink]

I believe someone did catch a brown out of there a couple years back. It was a skinny one. Can't remember who caught it. Tiger trout have also been caught out of strawberry recently.

Pretty much all you'll catch out of the Strawberry River is browns. I would imagine there's gotta be some in the reservoir, however I've never caught one.
