Lake Lowell 05/02

Going to hit up Lake Lowell in the morning. Been a minute since I have been out and this will be the first time on Lowell this year. Heard good things so far. I will be in a yellow kayak so if anyone is out there stop by and say hi. Would love to meet some of ya.

I went yesterday with my wife. No boat, but I was in past my waist to cast into the nice areas between weeds. Caught 4 bass, a couple were a nice 16" (whatever that translates to weight). Everything on a black senko weightless and weedless.

WOW!! What a day. Got on the water around 0800 hours and fished until about noon. Fish would not stay off of he hook. Landed one real nice one about 24 inches. Sucker fought like a ton of bricks. I was using a watermelon with red flake finess worm. I love using the YUM brand. They tend to last more then just a couple of fish. Probably caught 20 fish. Perfect day to be on the water.

So this was my first time catching fish out of a kayak. I had been float tubing the past couple of years. There was a learning curve but once I figured it out, what a hoot!
