Strawberry 5/5-5/6
#1
Went to Strawberry Monday afternoon, stayed overnight and came home Tuesday afternoon. Fishing was pretty slow. Lots of wind. The Soldier creek side was about 60-70 percent open water. Strawberry side was about 30-40 percent open water. Monday I caught one cut and one bow, both about 16-17 inches. Tuesday I caught one cut about 18 inches and one bow about 11 inches. Also hooked one bow about 18 inches. He made one jump and spit the hook back at me. Nothing picture worthy.

Well Neldon, looks like you finally got to fish ice-off at Strawberry. Unfortunately, looks like you found out it the catching isn't always fast and furious.

I didn't drive around to that side. But you can easily launch and fish the Soldier Creek side.

Went Tuesday afternoon, you can launch mud creek, Bryant's fork (the turn off before haws point) and renegade. Renegade had ice I could cast too. Caught three off the boat ramp courtesy dock. Going in a few hours and will try to launch at renegade and scoot around the ice and fish the end half of the bay which was open.... There was a boat out in Bryant's fork when I left Tuesday. I'll try to post this evening on how it went..

I will be out there in a couple houts as well - if you see a white/red skeeter stop and say HI.
