Brownlee Catfish from boat?
#1
Been shore fishing at Brownlee for catfish, but never from a boat. Got a boat recently and heading up to Brownlee this week to do some fishing .... thinking about doing some night fishing for cats (hopefully some big ones), and was just curious if someone might be able to help out on areas to look for, best bait, bottom fishing, or fishing with a float, etc.....

From what I have read it seems the best catfishing is around Farewell Bend / Steck Park area ... but as you know way to far to boat given the reservoir is 50+ miles long.

Thanks in Advance

So many cats up there move around try different baits. I use a worm and marshmallow with no scent and slay the cats but a little cut bait never hurts. Just find the big rocks they can slide in and out of and you will be good. Yah Huntington is the best place to put a boat in for cats bear steck.

Lay stinky bait. Eddie's.Slow current.

In boat or tube. Hard to anchor. Hell, drop anchor find a sturgeon, just off the current. Use your anchor> And drift. a few holes deep. Hook lite line. Drift. bounce.and maybe drag.

And, drift for some cats.

Ron makes it look easy. The Snake is un forgiven....
