Strawberry Ice

Went up to the Berry Thurs 18th. There is a thin sheet of ice over most of the lake now, punched a couple holes on the Soldier Creek side, ice was a whopping 1 inch thick. The temp up there was 9 degrees at 7:00 am so it shouldnt be much longer before there is safe ice lakewide.

Thanks for the update Prov17, what area did you drill your test hole? I heard last week that the ice was thicker by the road but with that cold of temps it won't be long before the whole lake is good solid ice. WH2

I was near the west boat ramp (not sure of the name). lots of snowdrifts going in, it will probably be unpassable without a snowmobile after this last storm we just got.
