Lincoln Beach Evening Fun

Ran out to Lincoln beach tonight to fish the harbor for a minute before dark. Had a bobber with a jig out hoping to grab a crappie or white bass while I tossed some other lures for largemouth. Bobber action was steady but seemed to have some major fisherman error as I kept missing them on hook set. All but a couple got away....

Big surprise of the night was reeling in my spinner bait and feeling an absolute WHACK and my drag start screaming. Definitely wasn't a largemouth with the way it was behaving, figured I had snagged a carp. After a great battle on my light bait cast I landed one of the biggest cats I've caught and the only cat I've caught on a spinnerbait. Was a good night....

going in the morning just to try cats, a little different for me, but don't want to work and should be a nice weather day
