Great day and Mantua
#1
New to the blog. Said I'd report if I made it to Mantua, well I did, so here it is! Landed quite a few fish, mostly bluegill, a couple bass and perch made it in the boat. All in all took home 17 fish which soon after arriving home made there way onto the grill Smile

Worked the knoll northwards scouting fish along the shore and caught a few little guys. It wasn't until we got a little further out from shore that we found the bigger ones. Tiny piece of night crawler on a tiny hook with a little clip on sinker worked the best, casting out and letting it sink then slowly retrieving.

Saw some nice sized bass swim by the boat and said hello to a massive pelican. Got out on the lake of glass by about 845 in the morning and left at 11. Caught the majority of our fish btw 10 and 11. My little 2.5 year old son had a blast. All and all it was a great trip.

Well done. And welcome to the board. Nice to get a good fishing report like that. Now that's a full grill top right there! Keeping it simple, works. Nice that you got your kid into the action too.

Hey great report, love it when Dads corrupt their kids early by getting that fishing habit started. Hope you can continue to enjoy days like that together. Thanks for the report. Later J
