Took the family and dogs out for a day to Silver lake. trick was a crawler on bottom behind a clear bobber filled 3/4 with water and two small pinch weights (i use tungsten so they be medium lead??) and let er soak. we caught 8, brought home 5 for dinner as the fish were pretty much 10 inchers all day, but my 9 year old loved catching, it was steady through the afternoon and once she caught one as she was walking away from recasting after unhooking another one, that killed her she keeps talking about how those fish were going crazy!! LOL. anyhow, it was a great day out there, temps up there i dont think got much over 80 and we had a nice, dare i say, breeze all day so the skeeters didnt drink us dry. the dogs loved playing ball and swimming with the kids too.
