Salmon: Running the Gauntlet
#1
This is 50 mins you should take out of your evening and watch this great program.

I learned a few things - for example - hatchery salmon catch in the Ocean are sold as "Wild Caught" salmon.

Video Link: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/...sode/6620/

Great how they show biologists taking salmon carcasses up the streams in Idaho where Salmon use to run and haven't for years to see the impacted of the nutrients put back into the eco-system.

Worth a watch.

Excellent video, thanks for posting!

I DO want to own that ranch on the border of Frank Church.
I DO want to shoot sea lions with rubber bullets.
I DO support a similar bounty project at Utah Lake. Everyone should be entitled to carp monies, not just the Loy family.
I DO NOT want the job of packing dead salmon on my back up to headwaters of small creeks!

Definitely worth 50 minutes of my time.
Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing....Mother nature can teach us many things if we will open our eyes to reality. A lot of us just can't deal with the truth.
Are you going to fish the Columbia this year??? Any plans for a Sturgeon trip?
