Of course it was in jest, good sir. It was a previous poster who suggested the device was misspelled, and I leapt at the chance to present one of my best lines.

BTW, the words inside the parentheses are a phrase, not a sentence; it does not require a period mark.

I really enjoyed your crappie reports from Willard this year.
I found plenty of wipers and walleye this year but never any crappie. I love those little buggars.
