Is it first come first serve at the camp spots up at trial lake and mirror campgrounds? and is there a campground fee? Also is the fishing pretty comparable at both? I've never camped up there. thanks for any info.

Most of the actual campgrounds in that area are by reservation only, unless your rough it and camp in the primitive areas.
One exception is the Lily lake campground which i believe is first come first serve camping.
Fishing has been pretty consistent at all the main lakes off the highway all summer with your standard baits and flies.
There are a ton of areas right off the highway real close to trial/washington, lily and teapot lake if you dont want to pay more for the campgrounds.
I think its 6 0r 7 dollars for a primitive camping pass that last like 3 days, or the campgrounds are around 16-18 a night.

I went to Trial last Saturday and it sucked. Don't waste your time there.

There are both reserved type camping sites (you must reserve 5 days in advance) and first come first serve sites at a lot of the lakes with camping adjacent to them.
Week days are 7-8 bucks but Fri and Sat nights are $20. I was just up there this past weekend. It was packed but the fishing was good to fair depending on what time of day you hit it.
Trial VS Mirror? Mirror will almost always be my first choice. However I fish from a kick boat so I wont elaborate because I don't know what you fish with.

I'll be in my canoe with an electric trolling motor. I was planning on throwing jakes, castmasters, and drag a fly and bubble, some nymphs and pistol peets.

Yes mirror lake and trial both have reservable and first come first serve sites. Also lilly kake and butterfly lake campgrounds are all first come first serve but you will want to get up there early on tgursday to get one. Yes you can use atrolling motor on many lakes up there. Both mirror and trial allow them.
