Lake Cascade perchin'?
#1
Headed to Cascade during Labor Day to check it out.
Won't have my boat due to family commitments.
Any chance of catching jumbos from shore or is it an ice thing?

Didn't see any jumbos, but last week they were catching 7 to 8 inches around the boat ramps..

Thanks for the info.
I assume a standard jig tipped with worm would work great?

I used worn on a hook. Had a few hits on jig, but bait was better..

made a quick trip to Cascade this morning.
Spent alittle time around Crown Point in the morning. A lot of bass were right on the bank. Throw the bait into 1 foot of water and set hook a second later. That worked good until the sun hit the water. most of the bass were 1 to 3 pounds.
Perch.. they were a little deeper ( 9 - 13 ). moved out, put on a crappie jig and started getting bit. but a few in the live well, let a lot of the them go to grow up.
Bounced around the reservoir and got bass and perch everywhere. Nothing big to brag about on the bass side.
A good day on the water UNITL someone started the wind generator. loaded up call it a day.

Went up yesterday, did pretty good on big perch. Unfortunately was looking for quality bass but did not find them. The bigger perch were out in ~18', found them pretty much scatter all around the lake, just had to find them on the electronics and drop to them.
