Kitty City near Marsing on the Snake

I went to Swan Falls last night and went shooting with my son. We put a couple rods into the water as we target practiced. I managed a decent size channel for the evening and that was it. So, now I wanna go back for more and focus on the fish. Thinking about exploring the river by boat in search of more catfish. I'll probably put in at Marsing. Is it better upstream/downstream? Not looking for the secret spot just a good place to get cats for a fish fry! Thanks for any advice!

ps. lots of weeds and moss! Do I need to find someplace deeper or stay in the main channel?

none of my buisness and not sure what type of firearm you were shooting if it wasn't a shotgun you may watch out. cats sound cool !

If it was me, I would go upstream. watch out for the rocks after you get past the bridge. I would not go past the first little riffle you come to... unless you know how to run the river.

Depends if you got a Jet or Prop on your boat?, you can't go very far from any ramp that i'm aware of, lots of shallow riffle spots that props won't get past. If you looking for something closer too swan, I would suggest Celebration Park, you actually go somewhere there with a prop. but as said before be very careful, many rocks, rock ledge's, gravel bars too worry about, go slow till you learn a particular stretch of river and i would always suggest going up river anywhere you put in. That way if you have trouble you have a good chance you can float down too the ramp you put in at. Good luck,
