Made first trip to Chickamauga, with bassallday serving as guide. Put in at Chester Frost Park about 30 minutes after daylight and fish shallow grass around Dallas Bay for a couple of hours. Managed one fish about 3.5 lbs on a jig. Headed out of the CFP area and hit the main river. Hitting different ledges, points, and humps from CFP up towards Soddy Creek area. Got one 4.25 on a ledge and the final fish of the day, 5.25 lbs, off a point. So 3 fish around 13 lbs or so. The northeast wind 10 to 15 along with the current and boat traffic made things more interesting (what a pain!). First impressions, Chickamauga doesn't fish quite like Guntersville. Not near as much grass as I was expecting on the main lake and alot of it is real shallow hydrilla and didn't seem to be alot of bait fish in the grass.
