I haven't been frequenting BFT much these days because either the folks up here in Wyoming either haven't caught on or lie to each other about fishing on a different website. I have had a few great days up here and I thought that I would share. (see pics) I am also headed down to the home land this weekend. I am planning on taking my old man and my brother out on the Weber for half a day on Saturday morning. I have become totally disconnected with how things are fishing down there. any recent reports or suggestions would be welcome.

Those brownies are awesome!
I have been getting my ass handed to me on the weber the past few weeks. As usual though, so don't let me get you down.

+1 on getting schooled on the Weber lately. Fished it between Coalville and Rockport again Sunday. Only managed a couple looks and one landed. Water was high/fast and off color.

With several Brown that big, I am sure you have some tricks up your sleeve.
Still going to try?

I wish I shared your confidence goddess. I am still going to try because honestly I don't have time to go anywhere else and the alternative is brunch with the wife and her girlfriends from high school. Or I suppose I could stay home and slam my finger in the sliding door. I'm no respecter of flies above or below the film, I just like fish in the net. Have you guys been throwing dries? nymphs? streamers? is anything working?

If you feel like cruising over to the south fork you'll probably have some better luck. It's been much better than the weeb lately.

Thanks for the tip I may do that. I've never fished the south fork. Any suggestions for a starting place?

If you're heading up the canyon, one of the first pull-offs you come to has a Smokey the bear sign. I go there then walk downstream a bit before I put in. Then there is another pull off 100 yrds or so above magpie campground that I put in at and walk upstream (but you need to walk upstream a few hundred yards to get to the good stretch).Or you could also go in to any of the campgrounds to reach the river. The san juan seems to be the most productive fly for me if all you care about is putting fish in net. Cheers

That's awesome. I think you talked me into it. I guess I won't be looking for that rod you are missing after all. Thanks again for info, I'll let you know how we do.

Report for today's three hours in the Weeb is short and sweet. Got freakin pummeled. Not even a bite. Peterson is a moss ball of doom right now. Should have taken some well intentioned advice and hit the south fork but I couldn't talk my compadres into the extra truck time. It's on my list for next time. Thanks again for the advice
