My twin brother, Jake, came down from Baltimore to visit. Jake is a nurse that works at a VA hospital and he also serves in the Navy Reserves. We decided that we were going to fish pretty much every day while he was here, hoping to get him a trophy size fish. His biggest fish before this trip was maybe around 6 lbs or so. Jake broke his personal best every day we fished, with the last one being the biggest at 36 lbs. He was thrilled to experience the brute size of these fish and loved every second of it. Sunday (10/05) was a slow day for us. The cold front that moved in the day before brought very slow bites. The biggest fish that day was 8 lbs. On Monday (10/06) the fishing was a little better. We landed a 9 lber, 10.5 lber, and ended on a nice 19 lber. On Tuesday (10/07) the bite was hot! We started off the morning with a few decent ones weighing in around 10 lbs or so, and then around mid-morning things picked up. Jake landed a nice 34 lber. emoDance The fight was awesome! We then decided to hit another familiar spot and he loaded up on his first big flathead weighing in at 31 lbs. emoDance Then we ended the day with a nice 36 lber, which is his personal best fish! emoDance emoDance emoDance Jake was stoked and loved every minute of it. He was also happy to earn his TARP certificates for 3 trophy size blue cats and 1 trophy size flattie! Congratulations, Jake!
