Late Season Bookcliffs Deer Info?
#1

Hey guys. Seeing if there is anyone out there that has some knowledge about the Bookcliffs this late in the year. My little bro has a special handicap tag where he can hunt for another week out there with a rifle. Not sure if the deer have moved down even though no snow yet or maybe a starting area to check out first. It is NOT the "Roadless" area.

Thanks for any help. You can PM me too.

Are you wondering about the north or the south end of the books. The deer on the south end tend to rut sooner which means they usually have "moved down" even with good weather years. IMHO.

It is one of the reasons the DWR has their deer viewing day when they do in Nash Wash. They can be quite rutted up by this time of the year.
