Sun was out, the wind was light, and I had an afternoon to spare. Set up yesterday on the south marina channel point and washed off a couple worms. Nice day but no joy this time.

Disclaimer: never fished that body of water.
But I've found when the sun is up, even if it's not very warm, I do better (when looking for trout at least) floating powerbait off the bottom on a carolina rig than floating anything down from the surface.

BH...no trout in Willard Bay that I have ever seen. This time of year its maybe Walleye if you get out on the water in a boat, or maybe some Perch, or in the shallows where it's a bit warmer, possibly some Catfish. I did hook up a young Wiper the Friday after Thanksgiving, but no such luck this last time.
