Weber River
#1
I hit the Weber River today and found quite a bit of ice. The area near the Lost Creek confluence was fishable though, and I caught two small browns, both on a #14 Bead Head Copper John -- neither were worth the hassle of getting out the phone for a picture. Switched to a Hares Ear and got several takes but no hookups -- bad execution on my part...Overall it was a fun way to spend a winter afternoon. Did anyone fish the Weber between Echo and Rockport today? I might head up there tomorrow, but am wondering if it is fishable or if it is iced over.

Thanks for the report. Nice to see something other than ice reports. How wide is the river in that section?

The water level is pretty low, but it is completely free of ice in that area.

Nice report.

The rivers can be great in the winter, and no crowds!
