I caught this Bullhead Catfish on 9-26-2014! As you can see it is missing all of its fins. Not sure as to why he is like this. Our local game warden and fisheries bioligist said they have never seen anything like it! Somehow it is surviving though. It is getting around well enough to bite my hook. After the game warden came out and took a look at it He said it looked healthy and said I could release it. Strangest fish I have ever caught!

Wow, that is one ugly cat. Two thoughts on what could up with that cat. First, it could be a genetic problem, second and I would hope this is not the case, could be someone cut all the fins off, then let it go[:/]. By the way, welcome to the site.

Did you catch it in water that has turtles? Fish biggen than my turtle end up looking like that.

Yeah, we have some pretty big soft-shell turtles and snappers in this pond.
