I made the drive from Vegas to panguitch lake with my boy and a couple buddies. Left at 3:30 and got on the lake around 9:00 Utah time. Fishing was not fast but steady. White anything tipped with a crawler or mealworm was our best lure. In 4 hours we ended with about 20 between us and most were bows. Big fish was a 17" bow. Ice was 6" with 2"-3" of snow on top. We fished on the northeast side and were in 12-20 FOW. Overall it was a good day and everybody caught fish, worth the drive although next trip I'll probably get a room in Cedar City or look into cabin rentals by the lake. 4 hours of fishing just wasn't enough.

How were the crowds. Nice job on the bows.

It was my first time to the lake so I'm not sure what a lot of pressure looks like. There were a lot of people spread out on the northeast side. We had plenty of room between us and the closest group.

Did you happen to a small suv on the ice by the north shore launch ramp?

That's where most the groups were concentrated, but I did not see an suv on the ice. Was there one out there? Thats scary!! I would have been cautious with a 4-wheeler!
