Hit the reservoir today with Deerinator, we caught a grundle of chubs and 2 trout that looked like pencils. Ice was close to 12" and cracking like crazy.

Nice. Keep any chubs for bait? Most of the trout I have pulled out of Scofield look more like snakes. I know there are big fish in there but it is too far of a drive for me to invest serious time finding them. Glad you found some.

Yeah we kept all chubs for bait. One was close to 12-13". All fat as usual.

They are great, next little one will be here in 2 weeks, this might be my last time out this season. [Sad] I'm thinking my next excursion is going to be California in april for salmon. So I'm putting my ice gear away for now.
