With the news about Deer Creek I was wondering if some members can tell me how it works. I know they power wash with 140 deg water but not sure what else. I have a fiberglass boat. Should I use any products on my boat before I start fishing to protect the boats finish from the power wash? Probably a stupped question but I'm not sure and I want to fish Deer Creek this spring.

i haven't heard about deer creek,so I'm assuming it's infected with mussels. Damn shame if that's the case. As far as your boat,if your gel coat is in good shape, put on a good coat of wax and go fishing. The hot water will weaken you're wax job,but shouldn't hurt the boat any. Every boat i have seen pressure washed, they always used a sweeping motion on the hull ,and don't hold the nozzle in one place to long. Out drive /ob's usually receive a little extra attention.

Has anyone had their float tube or pontoon decontaminated? Waders, fins motors would also need to be done.
