We caught fish today.
it was slow to great then slow again.
Fish cops were out today checking licenses. My son learned to not leave his wallet at home. Got off with a warning.
Caught some fatties today. Ice was 8 inches and no wind. Another great day in Southern Utah.

21 inches. 3.67lbs on the digits scale. We had a few bigger but they were females so we did a quick release. One that we did weigh was 4.27 lbs.

Nice healthy fish! Were the edges soft? I heard you need a plank at some places to get on the ice.

We got on the ice at 730. And got our spot. As the morning wore on as lot of folks showed up just in time for the bite to stop..we had several people stop by to find out what was working for us...its was definitely a morning bite with a few slow times filled in with just about every rod getting bent at near the same time. We left at 2pm and caught two more as we were gathering our gear.
So there may have been a good afternoon bite? New moon this next week and things will only get better.
