Love flyfishfood, used to love fishing Damsel fly nymphs back in the day, now that I am going to restart Stillwater fishing I am tying up some of these Damsels, love my new vise [Wink]

Your fly looks "fishey" to me. What type of dubbing are you using? Maybe colored hair's ear? Zugbug.

I am positive your pattern will catch fish, and nicely done. One suggestion "in addition" try tying on a shorter hook the body and eyes, and then a longer tail (keeping the whole fly at no more than an inch long).
When they swim, their whole body wiggles.

Nice looking damsel. I would love to know where you got, or how you made the eyes. Try tying it with a thread to match the color of the eyes, and see which one fishes better. A dull orange thread has sometimes doubled my action. I keep plenty of both colors in my box.
