I'VE HAD VERIZON, T MOBILE AND SPRINT AND HAVE NEVER GOT IT. I ALWAYS LOSE SERVICE JUST AFTER THE CEMENT PLANT.

A good trick for that lake is to put your phone in airplane mode. You still won't have service but at least your battery won't drain so you can continue taking photos, video, etc...
