new Boat needs captains
#1
After two years of fishing disabled vets as well as disabled children on Utah Lake and Strawberry reservoir (over 500 disabled individuals each year) aboard our big boat "freedoms dream" Hand in hand Outdoors decided to build a new boat to reach out across the state to serve our disabled combat veterans (Wounded Warriors from all campaigns WWII thru current population) on a boat that is not only trailable but that will carry 4 wheelchairs or 9 fishermen. Her name is "Hope" and she is 95% complete.

Lacking the money to buy what we wanted, we built her from the ground up, literally trailer and boat.

The big boat "Freedoms Dream" will remain on strawberry and move to Flaming Gorge at Manila in July and will remain there until winter thanks to the generosity of the wonderful people at the marina.

When complete, Hope will travel the width and breath of the state filled with warriors and there families.

We are looking for experienced anglers and boatsmen who would be willing to captain the boat when the need arises. There are many experts on many lakes across the state that could add to the experience for our warriors. We will provide the new boat, fuel and everything required for the trip (generally on week-ends). Unfortunately we do not have funds to compensate the captains. Additionally most of the time there will be a councilor from the Vets centers aboard.

If there is any interest, I will post more details for this request on our web page and make them available to anyone who might be willing to help.

Where better to post this request than here where many of the best anglers and captains reside?

Note: The new boat pictures reflect her condition as of this morning. We will add the graphics and rig her with state of the art electronics, tackle, communications, etc in the next few days.

Thank you for considering it.
