echo?

Has anyone been to echo lately? If so can you tell me about the conditions. Any info would be great.

Me,My dad, and my bro went up there last week and there was a good 4-6 inches of ice except around the edges, firs my bro went out got his boots wet but he got on the ice walked out about 15 feet then fell through to his waist, then we found another area about 30 yard away that was a little stronger. we started fishin in about 20 feet of water and caught a couple but not much so we moved out a little further(probably 150-200 yards from shore)and had bites on every cast, all perch between 4-8 inches and my bro caught a 7 inch rainbow we fished from 12-2:30pm and on the way back we all got our feet wet due to the slushy edges. after that we bought a good board to reduce the chance of getting wet.Oh yea we were fishing by the boat ramp.
