Utah lake water release

Anyone know if there's any water flowing into the Jordan river yet.
Seems like when they open the gates the fishing gets real hot on the river from the gates up past the model plane airport.
Ahhhh this warm weather says do something.

Gates are still 100% closed.
There is no water leaving UL via the gates.

I'd like to know when the lake level will rise. It was just 2-3 ft deep near the north west corner at the Saratoga Springs HOA marina last fall. I don't think it's gone up since then. You can't launch too well there because the ramp ends 3 feet past where the water touches it and it has a sharp drop off that could pop your trailer tires...

Anybody know when the lake level will go up a few feet so the boats don't drag the bottom??

[#0000FF]Most years the lake rises rapidly during spring runoff, from mid April through June. There will not be much this year so the lake is not likely to come up much beyond its current level. It is now about 1 foot higher than the lowest point last fall but well below what it was at this time last year. Some water coming in from the recent snow and rains but that will not last long.

In less than a month the gates will be opened at the mouth of the Jordan River, to satisfy the contractual demands of the downstream water users. That will drop the lake even more quickly.

Not looking good for our lakes and fish...and fishing...this year. There are several of our favorite lakes that may get too low for boats to launch. Good for us tubers and tooners but not so much for folks with larger craft.
