Were you using fishfinders? Where were the fish holding at? You did better than I did when I went. I came back with a skunk.

I was using a fishfinder and most of the fish that I saw were on the sidefinder which meant they were near the surface. I did not see a fish break the surface to feed all day. I went over very few fish and the ones I did were in the 18' - 24' range. The ones I caught were hooked about 15' - 20' below the surface. I covered 3.25 miles with not much to show for it. I did not have a hit for two hours and then caught two 16" rainbows within 5 minutes of each other and then nothing for a couple more hours. The water is pretty clear and warming so fishing will get better. At least that's what we tell ourselves.

Thanks for the info. I may head that way next Monday. I still want to pull a wiper out of there.

I have not been able to connect with any wipers before May. Maybe it will be earlier this year because of the mild winter. The water temperatures were in the high 50's when they started getting active in the past years.
Good luck on Monday if you go!
