Went again today with some buddies. We fished around Mackinaw from 9:30-4 (with a silly attempt midday going out deep trying for lakers, it did yield a nice 16" bow though). We had perch that was hot for 5 minutes then dead for hours, but the trout kept cruising through. Ice was solid 12" with some slush in the afternoon. 4 guys caught 15 perch, 10 bows, and a splake using white, green and red paddlebug, gizzies, and white jig heads tipped with mealworms.
