I had a tough dilemma whether to pull the boat or the sleds up to Bear Lake this last weekend, but in the end the sleds won out. Just had to get one more ride in before all the snow is gone. We had a great ride up Bloomington Canyon and wore ourselves out early enough that a fishing trip was in order.
We fished the jetty off north beach and managed to land 4 native cutthroats in just under 2 hours. We also pulled a couple of nasty carp to shore, giving us some pretty consistent action. The best catch of the day was this 22" 3lb cutthroat that my dad landed.
I also attached a picture of Bloomington Lake for those snowmobilers out there in fish land. [sly]
It was a great first day of spring. I could barely move on Sunday, but it was worth it.
