Is Strawberry safe for one last trip on the ice?
#1
Hoping to get one last ice fishing trip on Strawberry this Friday. Does anyone have any reports on the edges and ice conditions? I don't fish by the ladders and am aware there is water around there. It has been two weeks since I went out and just hoping someone has a report who has been there more recently.

I don't have an ATV nor snowmobile, just walking to my destination.

Any reports would be helpful.

Thanks

Well a report on Strawberry. 12' plank to get on, once on the ice things were fine. Caught the first in 5 minutes, then waited another 2.5 hours to catch the next one! Caught the next 4 rainbows in about a hour, for a total of 6 fish in 3.5 hours; slow for me but great to get out one last time, on my birthday and my wife even came (she said it was because it's my birthday, I think it was to witness where my body was so she could collect on the life insurance [Wink] .

Packing things up for the season now, back to yard work, gardening, farming, and the list goes on!
