I'll trade Willard secrets for Berry secrets!

Mainly wondering if it's ice off at berry yet. I've noticed that no one posted any berry conditions reports in the last week or so which tells me it's real close! People seem to keep "ice off" at Berry more of a secret than their favorite fishing holes and techniques...
Well, I have gotten pretty fortunate fishing at Willard lately, no skinks in almost a month, and usually limits since. Hit me up if you wanna trade any fishin advice!

Pics are from Saturday at the Bay. My boy caught a 22" 5lb wiper, and we landed the biggest crappie I've ever seen!

I'll do you one better. I've never caught a wiper and it's killing me. You take me wiper fishing and I'll take you kokanee fishing up at the berry.

by the way there is still Ice on the berry. there's a little open water by the ladders where the inlet is but the rest of the lake is still capped over. I'd give it another month or 3 weeks for ice to come off

The Marina said that Soldier Creek had quite a bit of "Ice-Off" Fishing areas available, and that they anticipated the Marina side to follow in the next week. The temps have been really warm, and there's been a breeze the last couple of days.

If you have Facebook, the Strawberry Bay Marina and Lodge page does really well about posting ice updates and other fishing/hunting related stuff. Might be helpful to follow their page.

Sounds like a deal! Ive ice fished the berry all winter. Now, I am starting to hit the bay. I am going to the berry friday for ice off though. I will keep you posted.
