I'm headed to Heyburn state park at the end of May, im stayin for 3 nights, I plan on fishing for pike most of the time and try alittle lmb fishing too. Anyone got any recommendations for what to use for big pike in that part of the lake??? Ive heard Harrison Bay is a good area, is it good around the park too? Im fishing in my bass boat, so is it worth trying to get up into those lakes off the cour d'Alene river and the st. joe river?

Big spinner baits, jerk baits or just a Red Devil spoon. You got great fishing right there so no need to run around. In Chatcolet try Rocky Point and Plummer Creek Bay. In the Benewah I‘d work the Benewah Creek channel. It’s all good pike country with endless weed lines to work. Blue Goose Sporting Goods in St. Maries is a great resource.
