Bassin'
#1
Spent Sunday kicking around Mantua trying out some new bass flies. I fished all along the north and east shoreline and managed my first couple of bass in 5 years! I also got a bunch of BG and rainbows using small Crystal buggers. On a side note, I noticed a bunch of damselfly nymphs in the water so I'll probably be taking a few of those next time.

Good job! I was up there Sunday morning as well. Bass and other warm water fish are a blast on a fly rod!

That's a nice looking pattern. Is that a EP minnow?

Similar, it's the low fat minnow.

That low fat minnow is a great looking pattern. I've been wanting to tie some, in the shad color to try at Willard.
