The first best place to fish for cats on the snake down river from Blackfoot would have to be Marsing.

There is a blue line near the top of the page with white words in it . Click on "state fishing forums " and then find the state you want to post on .

Thanks for the reply! I figured it out finally after posting that but appreciate your time..... My wife and I are coming up from Texas and I am trying to possibly get someone to take us out for cash or swap a trip if they ever make it down here to Galveston, Texas. Any input on this?
I have been looking at the maps of Idaho, and am not sure what type of fish/ where would be best to fish.. we are coming the last week of june 2015. I would like to catch a sturgeon, but I would rather catch fish then go on a sturgeon trip and catch nothing... thanks for your time! I am a 48 year old cop, so this is a serious topic, not some late night fishing forum surfer....thanks! [signature]

Just for your own knowledge, unless you are a licensed guide, it is ILLEGAL to accept money to take someone on a fishing trip. If someone takes you up on that offer, make sure they are a licensed guide or the both of you could end up in a fair amount of trouble. I do believe that trading a trip would be legal.

If you're hunting browns, the Snake below Blackfoot has been great all spring. The Tilden Bridge area has been good to me.
If you're flush with cash, you can get a 2-day tribal license for the Fort Hall bottoms with a room package. Trout there are nearly the size of sturgeons.... [signature]

Oskolkoff, are you fishing for the catfish from shore or from a boat? I have been trying to find a place to take my daughter to catch a few catfish but have not had any luck yet. We dont have a boat so will be fishing from shore. We went out last evening and tried a couple of places below Swan Falls dam but were chased off by the bugs. Must have been a hatch of some sort because they were swarming. Not biting bugs but just very annoying. Didnt get a bite but were not there very long. Would probably take her over to try lake Lowel this evening if there were a couple of good places to try from shore. [signature]

Yes. Go to Lake Lowell. There are no bugs there.......[]

But we would be prepared this time ... Though the flying vermin last night would have required me to build one of these I think.
